Privacy Policy

Royal Latin Barber Shop ("we", "us") runs this website so you can book appointments. This policy explains what we collect, what we do with it, and the choices you have. Questions? Call us at (201) 658-2945.

What we collect

• When you book or join a waitlist: your name, mobile phone number, the service, date, time and barber, any style notes you write, and a referral code if you use one.
• Ratings and reviews you choose to leave, and the visit history tied to your phone number (used for loyalty rewards).
• On your device: your browser can remember your name and phone number so the booking form is pre-filled, and, only if you turn it on, a push-notification subscription. You can clear these in your browser at any time.
• Your location, only if you choose to share it: on the day of your visit, after you tap "I'm on my way", you can turn on live location so the shop can see how far away you are. Your phone sends its position while that page is open. It's visible only to the owner and your barber, and it's deleted when you arrive, stop sharing, or your visit ends — and automatically within a few hours no matter what.
• Technical data: your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated requests and protect the site from abuse, and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.
• Staff and owner accounts (not clients): sign-in details needed to run the shop's schedule.

How we use it

• To make and change your appointments.
• To run the loyalty program and let you view or cancel your own appointments.
• To let your barber prepare, and to keep the shop's schedule accurate.
• To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.

Your mobile number

We do not share your mobile number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We don't currently send text messages; if that changes we'll ask for your permission first and update this policy.

Who else handles your information

We don't sell your personal information. We use a few service providers who process it only to run the service for us:

• Vercel, which hosts the website.
• Neon, which stores our database.
• OpenStreetMap, whose free map tiles draw the staff's arrivals map (the shop's map loads the area around you, not your name or number).
• Clerk, which handles sign-in for the owner and staff.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the shop and its clients from harm.

How long we keep it

We keep your appointment history for as long as you're a client and as needed for the shop's records. You can ask us to delete your information (see below).

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with reputable providers, and only the owner and your barber can see appointment details. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

• Turn off push notifications in your browser or device settings.
• Stop sharing your location at any time with the Stop button, or block location for this site in your browser.
• Ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by calling (201) 658-2945.

Children

The website is meant for adults booking for themselves or for a child in their care. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top.
